FAQs
Why book a pre-elopement photoshoot in Tokyo?
A pre-wedding or engagement-style photoshoot is a wonderful way to experience Tokyo while capturing romantic memories before your big day. It also helps you feel more comfortable in front of the camera, ensuring a relaxed and natural elopement photography experience.
Where are the best places in Tokyo for a couples photoshoot?
Tokyo offers a mix of iconic and hidden-gem locations for your session. Popular spots include the vibrant streets of Shibuya, the serene gardens of Shinjuku Gyoen, the historic Asakusa district, and the modern skyline backdrops of Odaiba. We tailor the location to suit your style, whether you're looking for urban, traditional, or natural scenery.
When is the best time for a Tokyo photoshoot?
Golden hour—either early morning or just before sunset—provides the best lighting for soft, romantic images. However, night photography in Tokyo’s neon-lit streets can create stunning and unique shots.
Can we wear our wedding attire for the Tokyo Prelude session?
Absolutely! Some couples opt for casual outfits, while others take the opportunity to do a trial run in their wedding attire. If you’re unsure, we can discuss wardrobe tips to make the most of your session. Just note, most of the best gardens will only provide permits to couples wearing kimonos. If you want to wear a kimono, we can help you find a reputable vendor.
How long does the photoshoot last, and how many images do we receive?
Most Tokyo Prelude sessions last 1 to 2 hours. You’ll receive a beautifully edited collection of high-resolution digital images, ready to share with friends and family.
